I see lots of children with "growing pains" and leg aches. Tracey wonders: “I have heard that leg aches can be associated with gluten intolerance ... do you know anything about this?”
I reply: Yes! I do. This is very interesting. People call these leg pains as “growing pains”. But their origin has always been a puzzle to me. But since I have been advising so many children to go on a gluten-free diet, the parents are telling me that the leg aches and pains have gone away. Yes! It is my experience that lots of children have aching legs with gluten. Also, often this is one of the first symptoms to come on when the child takes gluten buy error again. Does anyone else have this experience? Please let me know. Cheers, Dr Rodney Ford. |
