Eddie asks - hi ... thanks for offering a great site for us ... I have a question about spelt bread. I have celiac disease and trying to eat right. Is this bread considered OK? Thanks. Unfortunately, Eddie, Spelt DOES contain gluten, but in lower amounts than standard wheat. But enough gluten to cause you trouble. Yes! Spelt flour is off the gluten-free menu. Oddly, buck-wheat is gluten free. Whoever thought up these names! Cheers, Dr Rodney Ford.
